A collective of Japanese designers and craftsman, Azmaya are experts at selecting the right materials to use in their range of contemporary homewares. These handcrafted bowls are made from locally sourced clay from the Iga region of Japan. Iga clay has excellent heat-retention properties, making them perfect for use as rice bowls. This one is finished in a thinly applied pine-ash glaze.Selector's Notes
Each bowl is individually handcrafted and shaped on a potters wheel. You can appreciate the subtle differences in shape and texture, as the foot of the bowl remains unglazed.Item Details
