This colorful statue depicts the Amitabha Buddha, or the Medicine Buddha – symbolic of teaching and healing wisdom. In Buddha’s cupped left-hand rests a bowl of elixir, representing the healing nature of Buddha’s teachings and meditations, and in his right rests a mythical plant – the cherry plum.
