          We Say

          Futagami dates back to the 19th century and specialises in producing artisan brass home wares. This chic silver and brass butter knife was created by highly renowned designer Oji Masanori, who blends beauty, simplicity and practicality. The elongated silver-plated blade glides through butter and spreads it evenly. Master craftsmen forge the solid cast brass handle using a sand-casting technique for a crude textured surface (‘Ihada’).

          Selector's Notes

          The IHADA Brass Butter Knife adheres to the aesthetic of Wabi-sabi, which finds beauty in simplicity and imperfection. As it ages, the butter knife will develop a rich, warm patina that adds to its overall character. It is packaged in a paper box.
