          Founded in 1897 in the historic metalworking town of Takaoka, Futagami was famed in Japan for making solid brass Buddhist altar pieces and statues. Designer Oji Masanori collaborated with the brand in 2009, designing a range of lifestyle objects for daily use. This expertly crafted solid brass trivet from the brand features a dazzling sun shaped design - sure to make an impression on your guests whilst preventing hot items from damaging your tabletop.

          Selector's Notes

          We love the industrialist feel of this collection by Futagami. Over time, the surface of the brass will oxidise through daily use, developing character and charm. It's original lustre can be maintained through the use of a polishing cloth.
