          A refined Sitting Buddha Dhyana mudra, hand carved by V. Sompura from white marble. Buddha is sitting in the lotus posture with his hands in Dhyana mudra (meditation gesture). This is a notable mudra practised by yogis during meditation, where both hand palms are resting on the lap. The Buddha also holds a bowl between, which is a characteristic of medicine Buddha. A Buddha who cures suffering and helps to ease pain. The artist choose to keep the sculpture with a rough, matte finish.
