          Under the design of Oji Masanori, the Susumuya tea-house collaborated with some of Japan's best craftsman, creating traditional teaware with an updated modern silhouette and design details. Their hope is that the 'tea tools' they create will be used daily, yet treasured over a lifetime. This large Amakusa porcelain mug has been hand-crafted by Imamura Hajime. Being unglazed, the mug takes its black colour from carbonised zaffre, which is layered onto the outside, giving the mug a handsome appearance. This will become your new favourite coffee or tea cup for years to come.
