          Takazawa Candle is a leading Japanese artisanal brand that has been designing and producing plant-based candles since 1892. Japanese candles (Warosoku) are often likened to the anchor of a ship (Ikari) because of their distinctive shape – the narrow centre flares out into a wider top half. Takazawa’s Ikari candle was handcrafted from sumac wax and has a natural taupe colour that will complement different interiors. The 19-centimetre candle can burn for up to four hours, which makes it ideal for dinner parties.

          Selector's Notes

          The top-heavy design of Ikari candles is as practical as it is eye-catching. The shape prevents wax from dripping down the candle after it has been lit and allows the candle to burn brighter with a larger flame.
