          We Say

          Founded in Tokyo in 1990, Time & Style create elegant contemporary tableware, based on traditional techniques and materials. Each piece is handmade by some of Japan's best craftsmen. This ceramic choku soba cup from the brand features a handsome, dark brown glaze called Ame, meaning 'candy' in Japanese. In traditional cuisine, these cups are useful for dipping soba noodles into sauce, but they are also commonly used as drinking vessels for tea or sake.

          Selector's Notes

          The choku cup is crafted by hand in Mashiko-city, famed in Japan as one of the main centres of pottery production.
