          We Say

          This stunning Chawan has a beautifully textured rocklike glaze, like solidified lava. The underside is unglazed, adding to the earthy aesthetic style of this Chawan. This type of tea bowl is designed for use with Matcha, or powdered green tea. The bowl has a deliberately misshapen appearance, which gives it character. In this respect, each bowl is a unique piece.

          Selector's Notes

          The darkened interior makes for a perfectly contrasting colour against the vivid bright green of the prepared Matcha tea.
